Tobias,

Sorry to take so long to get back to you, I've been away on vacation. I had somehow missed the earlier comment drebes until now, but it sounds like if you just download the beta version of gpsbabel and do the same procedure directly from there, it'll solve the problem. Just be sure to output the file as GPX and then you can drag and drop it right into PhotoLinker.

Sorry for my late response and thanks for the follow-up.
I'll give gpsbabel a try (just installed it).

The error I get with GPSPhotoLinker (and Photolinker trial by the way) is:

GPSBabel Error
0: Bad CRC c2 != 97

Whatever that means...

What I particularly like about (GPS)Photolinker is that's a one-stop-shop. It does all I need wonderfully integrated. Using the separate gpsbabel application manually would be a step back. Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Cheers

No, I'm not actually sure what the problem could be. We have another release of PhotoLinker coming up soon, so I can drop a new version of GPSBabel in there. Do you mind testing the latest version of GPSBabel, version 1.3.7-beta20100518 (near the bottom of the page). If that does work, maybe I can get you test a beta version of PhotoLinker as well.

Thanks for your patience on this,
Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey

Sorry for dropping off the radar for so long - too many distractions have prevented me from dealing with the really important things :-)

Anyway, I have tested the specified version of gpsbabel with my Holux and it worked seamlessly. Loaded the data from the device via bluetooth and saved it as gpsx. Then loaded it into GPSPhotoLinker and processed as usual. Good as gold.

Hope this helps despite the late feedback. Any questions please let me know. BTW, I'm on Mac OS 10.6.4 now and used GPSPhotoLinker 1.6.4.

Cheers
