GPSPhotoLinker crashes while importing track

my GPS Photo Linker crashes when I want to import a track, which renders the program useless. Console says:

Try deleting the track manager database by removing the folder,
~/Library/Application\ Support/GPSPhotoLinker
re-running GPSPhotoLinker, and then re-importing the track.

There was a problem with 10.6.2 that broke the database implementation.
